BMC Application Problem Resolution leverages patented BMC Black Box software technology to monitor application execution and capture a synchronized, real-time log of application activity at several levels—much like the "black box" flight recorder on an aircraft captures a real-time record of a flight. So when a problem occurs, BMC Application Problem Resolution provides a detailed, time-synchronized log showing:

  • User activity: fully-synchronized, DVD-like screen captures with key strokes, mouse clicks
  • System events: database calls, component invocations, etc.
  • End-to-end transaction analysis: individual transaction execution breakdown
  • Performance analysis: component execution time, etc.
  • Configuration data: incompatible components, permissions
  • Code execution flow: including variables, arguments and results
